Giving thanks at tracy aliance

TRACY ALLIANCE CHURCH held its annual Thanksgiving feast on Thanksgiving Day last week. Turkey, donated by Tracy Food Pride, was the centerpiece, but the church also served up mashed potatoes, stuffing, buns, deviled eggs and dessert. TOP LEFT: Rick Haberman and Eric Nelson were in command of the kitchen early, preparing gravy and stuffing with a smile. Sam Sahlstrom donated potatoes, and the pies and deviled eggs were homemade. TOP RIGHT: Christina Flesner filled egg halves with creamy filling. LEFT: Katie and Dawn Medford stand next to a special touch at this year’s meal— a set of China that belonged to her grandmother, Dorothy, who married Ray Vickerman in 1920 in Tracy. “I think it was her wedding china,” Dawn said. “We did this for those of us joining us from heaven this year. We lost a couple of fantastic church members and decided that we needed to honor them.”
