Residents enjoyed a full week of meaningful and festive activities. On Sunday, they gathered for Bible Week, focusing on the third week of Advent. Monday brought a favorite tradition with a lively game of Bingo.
Tuesday morning, residents practiced their measuring skills as they prepared a batch of Christmas roll-out cookie dough. Later that afternoon, they reconvened to roll out the dough, cut out festive shapes, and bake the cookies. Wednesday morning included Chapel led by Pastor Deb, followed by Catholic Communion led by Mary Ann B. In the afternoon, residents brought out their creative sides as they frosted the freshly baked Christmas cookies.
On Thursday morning, quick reflexes were put to the test during a spirited game of table ball. That afternoon, residents gathered around a large table to play Roll-a-Holiday Dice, a fun holiday-themed game that sparked conversations about favorite holiday traditions.
Friday afternoon featured a very special treat when fourth and fifth-grade students from Tracy Elementary School visited. The students delighted residents by singing Christmas songs and sharing handmade Christmas cards and ornaments. The week wrapped up on Saturday with another round of Bingo. This week’s Bingo winners were Bev and Wanda.
Special thank you to the students and teachers at Tracy Elementary for taking time out of their day to visit and sing to all of us at Prairie View. It is such a joy to see the joy in the residents as they listen to you.
