Weber, Schomacker will be missed
Recently, State Senator Bill Weber and State Representative Joe Schomacker made the decision to retire from the Minnesota Legislature when their terms conclude in early January.
While I am happy for them personally, I can tell you their retirements are a huge loss for the State of Minnesota. I worked alongside both Sen. Weber and Rep. Schomacker in St. Paul. They always served with integrity and class, and their leadership will be sorely missed.
These two lawmakers always put their constituents first, whether it was though their support of the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System that helped bring reliable drinking water to our region, improving educational opportunities for our kids, protecting your pocketbook, or strengthening our nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Both the House and Senate will lose key voices with their retirements, but southwestern Minnesota is losing trusted leaders. Our region is in a much better place thanks to their service.
Please join me in wishing Rep. Schomacker and Sen. Weber well in their next chapter of life and thanking them for a job well done.
