tracy area high school competes in Ffa region iv contest
The FFA Region VI Contest took place in Tracy on Tuesday at the high school and VMC. Three Career Development Events (CDEs) took place — Fish and Wildlife, Companion Animal and Vet Science.
The TAHS Companion Animal Science team placed second among 16 teams and will advance to state. Serena Muscatello placed sixth individually, Sierra Staufacker 10th, Danica Paulsen 11th, Jared Beier 39th and Troy Beier 65th.
Also, the Fish and Wildlife team was sixth overall and advanced to state; 17 teams competed in this contest. Brayden Marron placed 13th, Ryker Freeburg 19th, Alexis Brey 31, Hailey Hubner 53rd and Kaylin Brey 68th.
The Junior Varsity team of Makayla Erickson and Mckenzie Erickson also competed in Fish and Wildlife. More than 250 FFA members from surrounding schools attended the event.
