It was another wonderful week filled with laughter, fellowship, and engaging activities at Prairie View Senior Living, where residents enjoyed a variety of creative and social opportunities together.
The week began on Monday with a favorite tradition — Bingo! Residents gathered with excitement, cheering one another on and celebrating every winning call. Bingo continues to be a beloved pastime that brings both friendly competition and joyful connection.
On Tuesday morning, the ladies enjoyed a little pampering as nails were trimmed, filed, and freshly painted. The room was filled with conversation, smiles, and the simple pleasure of feeling polished and refreshed. Later that afternoon, residents tapped into their creative side during a crafting session. Each participant designed their very own felt fortune cookie, adding a personal touch to this imaginative and fun project.
Wednesday morning offered a meaningful time of worship and reflection. Chapel was led by Pastor Thor and Pastor Salhstrom, providing encouragement and spiritual connection. Catholic Communion was led by Jan G., offering residents an opportunity to participate in this important sacrament. In the afternoon, many residents gathered for a lively game of Fargo — a classic dice game loved by many. The room echoed with laughter as players rolled the dice and cheered one another on.
Thursday afternoon, residents put on their baker’s hats and tested their pastry skills by making and baking their own mini pies. From filling to crust, everyone enjoyed being hands-on in the kitchen and experiencing the delightful aroma of freshly baked treats.
Friday afternoon was the sweet reward for their hard work. Residents enjoyed tasting their homemade pies while relaxing together for a movie. It was the perfect way to wind down the week — good food, good company, and a good film.
The week wrapped up Saturday morning with another exciting round of Bingo. Congratulations to this week’s Bingo winners, Alice and Betty!
At Prairie View Senior Living, each week brings new opportunities for creativity, connection, and cherished memories. We are grateful for the joy our residents bring to every activity and look forward to many more wonderful moments together.
