The Tracy City Council filled many open board positions during its regular meeting Monday night.
However, there is still a need for more community members to volunteer.
The council appointed Burke Gardner and Russel Boice to the Planning Commission. There were three applicants for the open Library Board position. The council selected Morgan LaVoy for that position. Three individuals applied for the three openings on the HRA board and were approved. They are Tom Dobson, LouAnn Engel and Nancy Jones.
There were two applicants for the opening on the airport commission. The council appointed Neil Daniels for the term.
There were no applicants for the one opening on the Police Commission, or the seven openings on the Charter Commission. Because there are no members on the charter commission, the city council members are the charter commission until applicants come forward.
After a public hearing for ordinance No. 395 authorizing the replacement of lead, galvanized or other hazardous water service lines on private property, the board approved the ordinance. There was no public comment.
