The University of Minnesota Extension will offer an in-person Tier 2 Cottage Food Training to help participants safely and legally prepare and sell homemade food products.
The workshop will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Pipestone Campus, 1314 N Hiawatha Ave., Pipestone, MN 56164. The cost to attend is $85, and registration is required in advance online at https://z.umn.edu/aumz or contact Matti Boomgaarden, Agriculture Production Systems Educator, Pipestone and Murray Counties, 507-825-1190 This Tier 2 cottage foods producer food safety is required for cottage foods producers with gross annual sales between $7,665-$78,000 in gross annual sales. This training provides hands-on learning and practical guidance to help participants confidently produce and sell their products.
