TAHS FFA teams qualify for state

The Tracy Area High School FFA group competed in regional competition last week.

The Best Informed Greenhand team placed eighth and will advance to state. The contests consists of answering 100 questions about FFA, history of FFA and basic parliamentarian procedures.

The Agronomy team was sixth at regions, missing their ticket to state by one placing. The contest consists of identifying different crops in plant or seed form and a knowledge test on plants.

Farm Business Management placed third at regions and will advance to state. In this contest, FFA members analyze agricultural business management information, apply economic principles and concepts of business management and evaluate business management decisions.

Ag Mechanics placed third at regions and will advance to state. In this contest, FFA members test their knowledge in welding, construction, engines and equipment.
