The week began Monday with a classic game of traditional Bingo, always a favorite among residents. On Tuesday morning, the ladies gathered for a relaxing social hour filled with conversation, laughter, and a little pampering as they enjoyed having their nails done. Later that afternoon, residents came together for a special performance by Dean Fishel. The entertainment brought smiles throughout the room, and the afternoon was made even sweeter with a special treat enjoyed afterward.
Wednesday morning offered spiritual encouragement as Chapel was led by Pastor Thor and Pastor Salhstrom, while Catholic Communion was shared by Mary Ann B. In the afternoon, residents took part in an interesting, fun, and exciting game of Battle Plates, which brought plenty of energy and enjoyment.
On Thursday afternoon, residents had the chance to get creative in the kitchen by making their very own fudge. The hands-on activity was both delicious and enjoyable, giving everyone a sweet reward for their efforts.
Friday afternoon brought a heartwarming visit from the 4th and 5th grade students of Tracy Elementary School. The students spent time reading with residents, visiting, and working on puzzles together. Some of the students also took time to visit residents in their rooms who were unable to come out to the dining room. These intergenerational visits continue to be a wonderful experience for both the residents and the students, creating meaningful moments and special memories for all involved.
The week came to a close on Saturday with another round of traditional Bingo. Congratulations to this week’s Bingo winners, Sharon and Joyce.
Prairie View Senior Living would also like to extend a special thank you to Dean Fishel for providing such wonderful entertainment for the residents. His performance added a joyful highlight to the week and was greatly appreciated by all who attended. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to the students and teachers from Tracy Elementary School who took time out of their day to spend quality time with the residents. Their kindness, energy, and willingness to connect brought warmth and happiness to everyone involved.
At Prairie View Senior Living, each week continues to bring opportunities for joy, creativity, companionship, and community connection.
