Taylor Munson shot a 98 last week on Day 1 of the Section 3A Golf Meet, putting her in seventh place. Madelyn Elsen had a 109, missing the cut by three strokes.

Trenton Johnson struggled but had a number of good shots mixed in, and Levi Duscher got his first taste of varsity,” TMB coach Michael Munson said.
Day 2 of the section meet was not finished when this week’s edition went to press.
On May 14 in Fulda, Elsen received her first varsity medal placing third with a 53.
“Her score would have even been better, but she had a lost ball after a great shot on hole 9 that cost her two strokes,” coach Munson said. “She has been playing better and more consistent each week.”
Taylor Munson finished with a 54 for fourth place.
Duscher had the round of his season shooting a 43 to win the JV division. He chipped in from 90 yards out for a birdie on the fourth hole.
“In very windy conditions, he controlled his shots well,” said coach Munson.
Xiong was sixth with a 44; Trenton Johnson had a 53; Fischer a 55 and Peterson shot 56.
