Lakefield, 10-5

The Milroy Irish rebounded from a Friday loss to Faribault with a 10-5 win over Lakefield at Irish Yard on Sunday.

Dominic Dolan led the way at the plate with three hits, and Tyler Peterson and Andrew Wallen both had two hits. Wallen also drove in four runs, as did Griffin Zick.

Tyler Maeyaert started for the Irish and struck out seven in four innings of work. Craig Lasley got the win in relief.

• In Friday’s 13-3 loss to Faribault, Dolan and Tyler Alcorn both had two hits. Connor Lane started and took the loss, giving up four runs and striking out five in five innings.

The Irish trailed just 4-2 after five-and-a-half innings, but Faribault plated six runs in the sixth to break the game open
