June 19, 1996 — Harold Knudson has been named chairman of a fund-raising campaign for Tracy Municipal Hospital. The drive has a goal of raising $400,000 for physical improvements to the hospital. “We are both pleased and excited that Harold has agreed to chair this important campaign,” said Brad Johnson, hospital board chairman. “His knowledge of the community, leadership and commitment will serve us well.” The planned improvements would be the first major renovations to the hospital building since the facility was built in 1961. Many of the planned changes reflect the growing trend toward outpatient hospital services, rather than the extended hospital stays that were the rule when the hospital was built.
