It’s almost Independence Day, and that means big fun in Currie.
The Currie Town & Country Celebration Spectacular begins on July 3 with a street dance featuring Hicktown Mafia at 9 p.m.
There will be plenty of activity on the Fourth of July, including volleyball, bean bag and softball tournaments.
The popular duck races will be at 2 p.m.; bounce houses will be out for the kids; and heavy machinery and farm equipment will be on display in the park. The Currie Town & Country membership drive will take place at 11 a.m. as part of the 4th of July picnic, and one of the biggest fireworks show in the area will light up the sky at dusk.
