Get in Mah Belly is closing

Get in Mah Belly, which has served customers out of the kitchen at the Tracy Eagles Club for nearly a year, is closing.

Its last service is July 2 (from 5-9 p.m.).

Jeremy Trulock, gambling manager for the Eagles, said both parties mutually agreed to end the partnership by not renewing their contract.

“We’re sad to see her go because it has helped the Eagles tremendously, too,” he said. “We had a contract, and the contract expired.”

Trulock emphasized that the Eagles had no intention of competing with downtown’s Squatch Coffee & Eats for lunch, nor does it have the staff to open the club during the day.

“It was great, and the food is phenomenal,” said Trulock. “It’s so good, I could eat there every night.”

Get in Mah Belly, owned and operated by Genevieve Saint-Moudry, once was a food truck that transformed into a kitchen last October and found a home at the Eagles Club, serving comfort food, and a food and taco bar, along with a salad bar. The restaurant operated individually from business done through the Eagles.
