A gift from Kayo

THE CURRIE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS RECENTLY ENTRUSTED with a very generous donation in honor of Kayo J. Silvernale, a longtime volunteer firefighter and dedicated supporter of the Currie community. To honor his legacy of service and commitment, Kayo’s daughter, Karen Marben, and her husband, Michael, made this meaningful contribution to support the department he cared about so deeply.Through this gift, Kayo’s values of service, generosity, and community spirit will continue to make a lasting impact on Currie for years to come, his daughter said. His legacy lives on through his family, the fire department, and the community he faithfully served. Pictured, from left, are CFD Chief Luke Radke, Kathleen Silvernale, Mike Schreier, CFD assistant chief, and Karen and Mike Marben. Submitted photo
