The Southwest Initiative Foundation will celebrate 40 years of supporting rural communities with two community gatherings on Tuesday, July 21, in Lincoln and Lyon counties.
The first event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tyler Golf Club in Tyler. The second celebration will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Brau Brothers Brewing Co. in Marshall.
Both free, come-and-go events are part of a regional tour commemorating four decades of impact, partnerships and community investment across southwest Minnesota.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with neighbors, community leaders and Southwest Initiative Foundation staff while enjoying food and refreshments. Foundation President Scott Marquardt will share the organization’s new strategic plan and discuss priorities for the future, highlighting the work being done to strengthen rural communities throughout the region.
