A TRACY MAN WAS INJURED IN A MOTORCYCLE/TRUCK CRASH just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday on Lyon County Road 9, a couple miles north of Hwy. 14. According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Alex Johnson, 37, was traveling south on CR 9 on a 1995 Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a 2024 GMC Sierra driven by David Daniels, 66, of Marshall. The Sheriff’s Office said Daniels, traveling east on 150th St., stopped at the stop sign and collided with the motorcycle as he pulled onto the highway. Johnson was transported to the Sanford Tracy ER and was then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital, and his condition was unknown. Daniels was issued a citation for failure to yield, the Sheriff’s Office said. Tracy Fire and Ambulance and Garvin First Responders assisted the Sheriff’s Office on the scene. Photo / Per Peterson
