It was another busy and enjoyable week for the residents at Prairie View Senior Living!
On Monday afternoon, residents gathered for a traditional game of Bingo, always a favorite way to start the week.
Tuesday morning, the ladies enjoyed their special time of fellowship and “Fancy Nails,” visiting with one another while getting their nails polished. In the afternoon, many residents took advantage of the beautiful weather by spending time outdoors. Some relaxed and enjoyed the fresh air, while others worked in the flower gardens that were planted and cared for by our very own residents.
Wednesday morning began with Chapel led by Pastor Miron, followed by Catholic Communion. That afternoon, residents tried a new dice game called Feed the Kitty. There were plenty of laughs throughout the game, although the residents decided it might be more appropriately renamed “Unlucky 6!”
Thursday was an especially busy day at Prairie View. The morning started with our friends from Advanced Opportunities joining the residents for a fun game of Bingo. Early that afternoon, residents and their families enjoyed wonderful musical entertainment provided by HammerTyme. Later in the day, the ladies from Garvin Congregational Church visited and presented a beautiful program in honor of our August birthdays, complete with a special and delicious treat.
On Friday afternoon, residents put their thinking skills to work with a fun game called Name Three. The week then wrapped up with another traditional game of Bingo.
