Prairie View News

Residents at Prairie View Senior Living enjoyed another busy week filled with fun, fellowship, creativity, music, and even a little adventure!

The week began Monday with a traditional game of Bingo. On Tuesday morning, the ladies gathered for Fancy Nails, enjoying some pampering and time to visit with one another. That afternoon, residents got creative as they gathered for an afternoon of fall crafting, putting their own special touches on seasonal creations.

Wednesday morning was a time for worship as Pastor Miron led Chapel, followed by Catholic Communion. Later that afternoon, residents enjoyed some friendly competition with a lively game of Ping Pong.

Thursday was an extra-special day! Some of our residents had the opportunity to spend the afternoon on Lake Shetek, enjoying a relaxing pontoon ride and taking in the beautiful scenery from the water. For those who stayed back at Prairie View, we were delighted to welcome the Boulder Estates Choir. What a joy it was to hear their beautiful voices fill our facility with music!

Friday afternoon brought a little rock ‘n’ roll fun as residents tested their knowledge during an Elvis Trivia Challenge. There were plenty of memories shared about the King of Rock and Roll along the way.

Saturday, residents wrapped up another wonderful week with a traditional game of Bingo. Congratulations to this week’s Bingo winners, Bob and Jim!

A very special thank you to the Boulder Estates Choir for sharing your wonderful music with us. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to SASS – Shetek Area Smooth Sailingfor your kindness and hospitality and for making it possible for our residents to enjoy such a memorable pontoon ride around Lake Shetek. Your generosity helped create a very special afternoon for our residents, and we truly appreciate it!
