JASON SWAN, OF BALATON, A LOCAL CHANNEL SEEDPRO DEALER FROM BALATON, applied for a Channeling Goods program from the Channel Seed Company and was chosen as one of the dealer’s winners. He directed a $10,000 Channeling Goods donation to the Balaton Fire Department as his nonprofit organization which he has been a part of serving on for the past twenty two years. The funds will be used to help set up their updated Chevy truck which they recently purchased and will be installing a new flat bed, skid unit and pump set up used to put out grass fires, field fires and farm equipment fires. The truck will also be used to pull their Grain Bin Rescue trailer which they purchased and recently finished getting set up using donation and fundraiser money as well. Since 2021, Channeling Good has dedicated itself to giving back to organizations that enhance farmers’ lives and strengthen rural communities. The Balaton Fire Department does a lot of fundraiser events throughout the year, raising money for equipment, and fire department members donate a lot of their time working on equipment as well to make sure its ready for the next call. They also spend time away from their families but look forward to helping their community and surrounding towns in time of need. The fire department wishes to thank its community and other organizations for all their support and donations they receive. Submitted photo
