It was another busy week at Prairie View Senior Living, filled with fellowship, worship, friendly competition, and several new games that brought plenty of fun and laughter!
The week began Monday with a traditional game of Bingo, always a favorite way to start the week.
Tuesday morning, the ladies gathered for small talk and Fancy Nails, enjoying a little pampering while visiting with one another. That afternoon, residents put their minds to work with a game of Make-a-Word. Using all the letters from the phrase “We Want Sweater Weather,” they worked together to see just how many different words they could come up with. Wow, did they do a great job! It was fun to see just how many words they could find.
Wednesday morning was a special time of fellowship and worship as Pastor Sahlstrom and Pastor Thor, along with some special guests, led Chapel. Catholic Communion followed, led by Mary Ann. We are always grateful for those who take the time to come and worship with our residents.
Wednesday afternoon, residents tried another new activity — a dice game called Choo Choo Train. It turned out to be another fun one for the books and brought plenty of smiles and friendly competition!
Thursday afternoon, residents gathered for a game of Old McDonald Farm Memory, putting their memories to the test while enjoying some farm-themed fun.
The new games continued Friday afternoon with The Magic List. It was certainly a week of trying new things, and our residents seemed to really enjoy the variety and the challenge!
Saturday brought another wonderful week to a close with a traditional game of Bingo. Congratulations to this week’s Bingo winners, Kay and Delores!
A very special thank you to the guests who joined us on Wednesday and helped make our Chapel service extra special. We are grateful for your time, fellowship, and for joining our residents as we came together to celebrate and worship the Lord. What a blessing it is to share these special moments together at Prairie View!
