“We had a lot of kids run some great times,” said Dean. “We finished the regular season strong, and now it is time to get ready for the postseason. We now turn our focus on to our Conference meet Tuesday in Madison. Thank you again to my assistant coach Jodi Robinson for being a great coach and for all of our fans that make it out and support our team. It has been a fun and rewarding season so far, now it is time to finish strong.”

• TMB/WWG ran in Olivia last Thursday. “I thought our runners battled and ran hard,” TMB/WWG coach Billy Dean said. “Talking with my assistant coach Jodi on the way home, I said that this wasn’t our best race we have ran this year as a team, but the fun part of it is we still had five boys run a sub-20 time, one ran a sub-19 time, we had a few PR’s today, and our girls ran pretty well today with some new PR’s and season best times.”

Leading the way for the girls’ varsity was Lainey Jackels (21:00) and Miranda Mischke (21:58). Jackels was eighth overall and Mischke ninth with her season-best time. Other runners were: Allie Duscher (26:12), Stella Munson (27:37), Jayda Snyder (29:13/PR), Jaeda Nelson (29:28/PR), and Payton Daniels (33:04/top 10 finish).

“The girls ran very well today,” said Dean. “We saw a lot of improvement with them this race. Lainey almost broke the sub-21 minute mark, which is a goal for her, but she still ran a new PR time and placed eighth overall which is great.”

On the boys’ varsity/JV, the Panthers had Weston Marten (18:36), Taylor Squires (19:29), Noah Schmidt (19:43), Owen Beier (19:45), Jackson Jennieges (19:56), Zach Jones (20:38), Max Swick (20:39), Sam Wiborg (22:08), Colin Nelson (22:32), Tyson Petersen (22:53), Gatlin Struchen (22:56), Jaxter Pfarr (23:42), Karson Schneider (24:48), and Trajan Swanjord (27:48).

“Weston led our team today and was one second off of his PR time. Max ran a new PR time today by over a minute and he was the leader for the JV team, earning an eighth-place finish. Trajan also PR’d today by close to 30 seconds,” said Dean.

Ellah Barker (13:52) ran in the girls’ C race, which was 2,500 meters. Running for the Cteam were Trenton Daniels (10:43), Keagen Jenniges (11:33), Vincent Munson (13:19), and Justin Hernandez (15:15).
