BRAD HENNEN

HD 15A

I grew up and have spent most of my life on a farm near Ghent. Barb and I raised nine children and now have 16 grandchildren! I raised pigs full time for 25 years; for most of the last 15 years, I have been involved in selling first breeding stock and more recently feed additives to primarily hog farms.

In your eyes, what needs fixing in St. Paul, whether it’s policies or anything else you feel needs improvement?

I believe that our state mandates and restricts our citizens and businesses to far too great an extent. The cost of healthcare, childcare, and virtually everything else is driven higher by the simple fact that we have been reducing the supply of our treasured goods and services by the regulations that our state has been continually adding to our providers.

Summarize your platform.

I would work to free up the creative energy of our families, communities, and businesses to reduce the cost of living and improve the quality of life for all our citizens by reducing the taxes and the regulatory burdens that our state currently imposes upon us.

List two issues that you intend to focus on if elected.

Increasing the supply of healthcare by freeing up providers to do what they do best. Reducing the regulatory burden on all businesses in MN to allow for the creation of more jobs and more affordable goods and services.

Any closing remarks...

I thank everyone that is and will be engaged in this upcoming election and legislative session. I am not an expert in all the challenges that our communities face; I welcome feedback and input from anyone that wants to make our state an even better place to live, work, and grow our families.
