My name is Adam Snyder. I was born and raised in Milroy and attended the Milroy school until 8th grade then completed high-school in Tracy. I completed my education in Chicago for auto and diesel mechanics before returning back to Milroy. My wife and I, along with our four kids, live just south of Milroy on the family farm. I co-own and operate Wrenchers in Milroy with my dad.
Although there are no outside challengers for one of the open seats, it’s important to know why you decided to run to keep your seat on the school board. What compelled you to run for another term?
I was compelled to run for another term because I have kids in both the elementary school and high school. I want to show them the importance of being involved in the school and community.
The district is essentially sitting on more than $4.5 million from the construction project? How do you think this money should be spent and why?
I am in favor of spending the money to significantly improve both the elementary and the high school.
Declining enrollments are nothing new to this school district. How can the district keep progressing despite that?
Continuing to make improvements to our school and expanding the district should help with the declining enrollments.
