The 5th and 6th grade students joined us this week for a morning of crafts, word puzzles and coloring pages. We have been so fortunate to have had the students from St. Mary’s visit us each month during this school year. Both the students and our residents have enjoyed the time together.
Thank you to Norma Meyeraan, Deb Knorr and Henry Magnus for the music program this week. They brought song sheets and engaged residents in an afternoon of singing familiar songs.
Thursday morning the crockpot cooking group made a Rueben dip, in the afternoon everyone was able to enjoy the dip and crackers while listening to the music of Dean Fishel.
Peep chicks and bunnies appear in the stores this time every year. For our tasting group this month we spent an afternoon learning the history of the Peep’s and watching a short YouTube video on the making of Peeps. Peeps now come in a variety of flavors, we tasted Party Cake, Rice Krispie, Cotton Candy, Cookies and Cream, Sour Watermelon and Dr. Pepper flavored Peeps.
