A line of strong storms that caused a number of watches and warnings moved across the region Monday afternoon, and essentially ignored Tracy.
Storms to the north and south included hail and strong winds, but Tracy residents were on the receiving end of virtually no impactful weather.
The forecast sounded bad enough to result in a number of cancellations or postponements for outdoor events in town, and even led to the cancellation of Monday evening’s elementary band and choir contest. All high school practices were shut down Monday as well.
A tornado warning was issued for northwest Cottonwood and southeast Murray
