May 20, 1965 — Coach Art Marben’s high school baseball team ripped Hanley Falls 10 to 1 Monday in first round District Nine playoffs. Steve Stotka hurled a nifty three-hitter against the undermanned Cyclones while his team mates garnered nine hits and executed two double plays despite four errors afield.
May 15, 1975 — According to “Pacific Stars & Stripes” authorized unofficial publication for U .S . Armed Forces of the Pacific command, “A U .S . Soldier got it all together when he rolled 12 strikes in a row to score a perfect 300 bowling game at Camp Carroll Army Depot, 135 miles southeast of Seoul Korea.” “1 never thought I was going that far, just never expected it,” said M. Sgt. John A. Goltz of Headquarters Co. at Camp Carroll. Goltz, a Tracy native, whose family resides at Huntsville, Alabama, rolled the 300 game during American Bowling Congress league competition at the four alley Camp Carroll Lanes. Goltz wound up with a 632 series.

May 17, 1995 — Thursday was a day of triumph and disappointment for the Panther track team. The Panther girls’ experienced the sweet thrill of victory, capturing the Section 3A True Team championship for the second-straight year. The girls will compete Saturday in the state True Team meet at the Olympic Training Center in Blaine. Sophomore Kris DeRuyck paced the Panthers with firsts in the 100-meter high hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. She also anchored a first-place finish in the 1600-meter relay. Bridget Smith, the only senior on the team, won both the triple jump and the long jump. Junior Sonja Kamrud, the Panthers top point earner last year, was first in the 100 meter dash and second in the 100-meter high hurdles behind DeRuyck and anchored the second-place 400 meter relay team.
May 18, 2005 — Panther tracksters tuned up for the conference with a meet Monday at Slayton. The girls were second and the boys sixth. The Panthers’ Bobbi Jo Buyck was named the outstanding female athlete of the meet. Buyck placed first in the 100 Dash, first in the 200 Dash, first in the pole vault and second in the 100 Hurdles.
May 20, 2015 — Two Panther seniors earned allconference honors in the Camden Conference golf meet last week. Devin Skalak placed 12th in the boys’ meet, and Morgan Anderson placed 18th in the girls’ competition. The two-round meet was held in 50-degree temperatures and 15 MPH winds at the Marshall Country Club.
