Your Weather

A much needed 2.4 inches of rain has fallen over the last six days, soaking lawns and area fields, much to the delight of homeowners and our farmer friends.

That’s almost as much rain as we had all of April.

Of course, all the rain was accompanied by ridiculously strong winds, with gusts up to 45 mph last Thursday, and the winds have been pretty consistent this week as well.

Everything quieted down by this past Wednesday, although the cool temps persisted with highs staying in the 40s and feels like” temps in the upper 30s for the last week — not exactly ideal May weather conditions.

That will all change today (May 21) and in the future, as highs will begin to climb from the low 60s this week to the upper 70s by mid-week next week. While there is another chance of rain Sunday, it appears we’ll dry out pretty good in the days to come.
