A dedication ceremony in Canby for the community’s veterans’ memorial was held on May 24. Planning for the memorial began in 2020.

After eight years and three state volleyball titles, Hayley Fruin has decided to step away from coaching. Fruin posted a 251-42 record, including a 2412 mark this past season as the Vikings finished Class A runners-up.

Upgrades at Rolling Hills Golf Club include the office area, which was moved, and to the plumbing and electrical. The big change was to the kitchen area, which received a top-to-bottom renovation with a new stainless steel hood over the new griddles. A portal to the dining room was also added.

Dirt work has began for the Murray County Cattleman’s Association’s new building. The multi-purpose structure will be owned by the County, which has given $100,000 worth of financial support.
