The Tyler Public Library was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundations. The funds will cover camp supplies, including custom book bags.

The Walnut Gove City Council approved the sale of a 20-foot lot on Main St. to Knakmuhs Enterprises for $500 so Crystal Knakmuhs, owner of Half Pint Coffee Co., can add a fire exit and outdoor walkway for the upstarts apartments and adding a fenced patio for the coffee shop.
