A 2023 FREIGHTLINER SEMI AND 2018 BUICK ENCORE SUV collided at the intersection of US Hwy. 14 and State Hwy. 91 in Shelburne Township at 5:28 p.m. last Thursday. Both the driver of the semi — William Stcyr, 45, of Winnebago, NE, and SUV, Joyce Sinding, 80, of Lakeville — were wearing their seatbelts, according to Minnesota State Patrol. Both were transported to Avera Hospital in Tyler with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved in the incident. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Balaton Fire & Ambulance and the Tyler Avera Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene. Photo / Per Peterson
