Noah Knakmuhs, Tracy, has been awarded a full-ride Build Dakota Scholarship at Southeast Technical College. The competitive award will cover Knakmuhs’s tuition, fees, books, uniforms, tools and supplies as they complete the Electrician program at STC. Now in its 11th year, the scholarship program has set recipient records for four consecutive years. All of this year’s scholars have an industry sponsor that financially supports the scholarship. A special signing ceremony and recognition event was held June 6 on the STC campus.
• Mariah Mayer, Tracy, was one of nearly 4,600 graduates to receive a degree from Iowa State University this spring. Graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies were held May 15-17.
• Ridgewater College acknowledge those students earning recognition on the Dean’s lists for Spring semester 2025. To be included on the Dean’s list, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and be enrolled in at least nine credits and meet certain other criteria. Making the list were Seanna Swenson and Carly Ackerman, both of Slayton.
