Currie Town & Country is ramping up for its big 4th of July Celebration on July 3-5 in Currie.
The fun stars with IV Play at the street dance at 9 p.m. on July 3. July 4 is chock full of events, including a sand volleyball tournament, bean bag tournament, bounce houses and the Duck Races at the Des Moines Bridge at 2 p.m.
The Currie Town & Country Boosters’ July Picnic and Membership Drive in the park goes from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and the massive fireworks display will be a dusk that evening.
On July 5, a flea market and vendor fair with food and beverages will be held at 9 a.m. at First and Mill streets, and the 5k fun will be at 10 a.m. at Lake Shetek State Park (contact Aaron Larson at 507-626-0962).
