The Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge 1-538 will take a day trip on Thursday, July 17, to visit the Bethany Lutheran Ottesen Norwegian Museum in Mankato and the Arboretum at Gustavus College in St Peter. the lodge has contacted the Reading Bus company and have a price of $25 per person if they can fill the bus (56 passengers).
The lodge is opening this event to the membership of the Historical Society and the community.
Sign up will occur at the CCHS Museum, 812 4th Ave., Windom, until July 1. Payment is by cash or by check payable to Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge 1-538.
The tentative schedule will be to meet at the Windom Runnings parking lot no later than 8:15 a.m. and tour the Bethany Museum from 10-noon. Lunch will be on your own at the food court at the River Hills Mall. We will depart for St Peter at 1 p.m. and arrive at 1:30 at the Gustavus Campus to enjoy the Arboretum. The bus will leave St. Peter for the return trip to Windom at approximately 4:30 p.m.
