A GROUP OF 13 WORKERS FROM THE NORTHERN BEDROCK CORPS came on June 16-24 to work on the chinking of the log cabin. A technical advisor from Kasota was on hand to teach and demonstrate how to remove old chinking, wood preservation and applying metal mesh for the new chinking to adhere to; windows were deglazed as well. Northern Bedrock Corps members stayed on the grounds of campus and cooked their meals all on site; the heritage center treated them to pizza one night, and supplied them with snacks and a cool place to sleep after storms rolled through. The young adults came from all over the United States; it was the third time the corps has been on campus.
