Tyler Maeyaert continued his run of double-digit strikeouts last Wednesday as the Irish took care of business against Luverne, winning 4-1.
Maeyaert struck out 10 Redbirds over seven innings, marking the third straight game he has struck out at least 10 (11 on June 27 against Fairmont, 12 versus Pipestone on June 18).
At the plate, Derek Smith homered and drove in two. Maeyaert also had an RBI.
The Irish will host Fox Lake on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Pipestone on Sunday, July 13, at 5 p.m. They will play their final regular-season home game on July 16 against Granite Falls.
