College basketball coach Tim Grove will be the guest speaker at the Aug. 4 TMB Fall Sports Meeting at the high school.
Grove is entering his 20th year as head women’s basketball coach at the University of Minnesota Morris. In that time, his teams have won almost 80% of their conference games. He has been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year six times and was named Coach of the Decade in 2019.
Grove’s message will focus on the importance of good character, leadership, perseverance, and team culture.
The Cougars have earned six regular season championships, three postseason championships, and four trips to the national tournament during his tenure. Grove is also an official with the MSHSL, working both football and baseball. He and his crew worked a state championship football game in 2022.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m., and all parents of student-athletes are encouraged to attend.
