Memorial services for Ken Zabella will be at IHM Church in Currie on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter Schuster officiating. The organist is Patty LeClarie. The song leader is Linnea Surprenant. Interment is at Calvary Cemetery in Currie. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at IHM Church in Currie from 4-6 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements. To send condolences visit totzkefuneralhome.com Ken Zabella was born on May 3, 1965, in Kouts, Indiana to Leonard and Judy Harp Zabella. He grew up in Bunnell, Fl and graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School in 1983. After graduating from high school, Ken joined the Air Force, where he served as a Combat Arms Specialist and then as a Special Agent, Office of Special Investigations (OSI). While in the Air Force, he attended the Community College of the Air Force receiving his associate degree of applied Science, Criminal Justice. On December 12, 1998, he and Michelle Gervais were married in Rochester, MN. Following their marriage, they were stationed at several Air Force Bases in England and the USA. In 2005 Ken received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Bellevue University. He received the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service in the Iraq War. After 24 years of service, he retired from the USAF, and he and Michelle settled in Orlando, FL. He was currently working as an Intelligence Analysis Senior Manager at Lockheed Martin. Ken passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the AdventHealth East Hospital in Orlando, FL at the age of 60.

Ken enjoyed golfing, shooting pool with his stepfather, playing cards and board games. Ken had an easy-going personality and loved spending time with his family and friends and having an occasional cigar with his “boys.”
Survivors include his wife, Michelle (Gervais) Zabella of Orlando, FL; daughter, Cassye Zabella of Kansas City, KS, and grandson, Konlyn; mother, Judy Silva and her husband, Johnny of Orlando, FL; sister, Marsha Zabella of Orlando, FL, and her daughter, Monique; stepmother, Val Zabella of Bunnell, FL; and half-sister, Samantha (Matt) Taylor of Dana Point, CA. He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard, and paternal and maternal grandparents.
